At Little Crickets, our Forest School is open all year round. We are firm believers that there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing! With a cosy yurt on site for the colder months, to shaded areas for the sunnier days, our little explorers are always ready for action!

Welcome to our new Forest School nestled in a secure location in the heart of Central Bournemouth! Our Forest School nursery for children aged 2–5 years offers a unique learning experience that is immersed in nature.
Led by a team of skilled and passionate Forest School educators, we provide an enriching environment where children explore, learn, and grow amidst the beauty of the natural world. Through hands-on activities and guided adventures, we foster curiosity, resilience, and a deep connection with the outdoors, nurturing a lifelong love for learning and the environment. Nature's playground at its best!
Within our extensive grounds, we have a natural wonderland for children to explore. Our qualified Forest School Leader runs daily sessions, where children are given opportunity to learn more about the world around them. They are given learning opportunities in different areas, such as learning life cycles of plants and wildlife, den building, using a fire pit safely, identifying bugs and their habitats, den building, planting and harvesting vegetables.

Open 51 Weeks
We are here to support busy working families and that's why we are open 51 weeks of the year, from 8am to 6pm. Children attending our Forest School are kept busy and stimulated, with plenty of time to enjoy creating, playing, exploring and learning.

Children can join Little Crickets Forest School from the age of 2 years. Every day is an adventure at Forest School and children are encouraged to be curious about the world around them.

Forest School operates whatever the weather! We have proven and trusted plans in place for adverse weather and have the comfort and safety of our purpose-built yurt if shelter or shade is required.
